Subject: 2010 Region IVAA Golf and Tennis
The Region IVAA Executive Committee has voted in favor of letting students that qualify in both Region IVAA Golf and Tennis play in both contests. The committee asked that the region directors accommodate the situation as best possible for each day of the contests in Golf and Tennis.
The official dates for Regional Golf are Monday, April 19 and Tuesday, April 20, 2010. The official dates for Regional Tennis are Tuesday, April 20 and Wednesday, April 21, 2010.

EACH DISTRICT DIRECTOR SHOULD SEND TO THE REGIONAL FISCAL DIRECTOR, MR. Wade Stidevent, THE GOLF ENTRY FEE OF $60.00 PER TEAM BY TUESDAY, APRIL 13, 2010. INDIVIDUAL SCHOOLS WILL BE BILLED BY THEIR DISTRICT DIRECTOR.
NOTE: A listing of all district winners and runner up, team and medal play, should be emailed using the electronic form found on the website to John Ferguson, Jr.: no later than April 13, 2010. Failure to send the above information may be grounds for disqualification.
GENERAL INFORMATION
GREEN FEES: $150.00 for each team payable to Quail Creek Country Club . There will be a $30.00 fee per non-team individual player. The green fee checks should be delivered by the coach at the coaches’ meeting at Quail Creek C.C. at 6:00 p.m., on Sunday April 18. All CHECKS WILL BE MADE PAYABLE TO QUAIL CREEK COUNTRY CLUB. This includes unlimited driving range balls during competition on Monday and Tuesday, only, April 19 and 20.
PRACTICE ROUNDS: One practice round will be allowed at Quail Creek April 1-18, 2010. Call John Ferguson, Golf Pro, for practice times. Call him at (512) 353-1665. Green fee for the practice round is $11.00 weekdays and $15.00 weekends per player.
Play will be governed by USGA, UIL, and Local rules. In regional and state competition, the player shall pick up the ball and record a score of 9 after the 8th stroke.
Coaches, parents, and school officials may follow players on the golf course.
NO COACHING is permitted and players are subject to disqualification if such occurs. There should be no dialogue between a player and any spectator, coach, or parent. Spectators may not follow the players in the fairway. Spectators must walk in the roughs or on the cart paths, where provided. Spectators must stay at least 30 yards away from the players. Any protest during the tournament must be initiated by a school official (either the coach or principal) of the school for which a student is playing. The protest must be filed with the Protest Committee.
